We are delighted to invite you to the Grand Opening of the newly renovated Whitehouse waterfront area.

A treasured part of Fowey’s waterfront, Whitehouse has long provided access to the estuary for swimming, recreation, and community gatherings. Thanks to the dedication of Fowey Harbour Commissioners, alongside the generous support of the local community and volunteers, this long-awaited renovation is now a reality. The project has brought new life to the space, ensuring it remains safe, accessible, and welcoming for all.

Key Improvements:

  • Restored tidal paddling pool, preserving its historic character as a safe and enjoyable space for families.
  • Structural repairs to the quay, improving access and usability.
  • Enhancements to the beach and shelter area, maintaining a space for relaxation and water activities.
  • Transformation of the former toilet block into the Red Rocket Café, now featuring a new balcony with stunning harbour views.
  • A designated swimming zone, creating a safer environment for swimmers.

This project has been driven forward by Fowey Harbour and its Commissioners, with incredible support from volunteers and donors who have given their time, effort, and resources to help bring Whitehouse back to life. Their dedication has ensured that this much-loved part of Fowey’s waterfront will continue to benefit the community for years to come.
