Fowey continues to be a popular cruise destination, not only for the ship’s passengers as they enjoy the beauty of our Cornish Estuary and it’s rich literary and maritime heritage, but also for locals and visitors as they marvel at the spectacular ships nestled within the harbour.

To further support and develop the cruise sector in Fowey, we are delighted to welcome Kate O’Hara to the Fowey Harbour team. The port will benefit from the extensive knowledge and experience gained in her former roles as Commercial Director at the Port of Tyne and two-times Chair of Cruise Britain.

Captain Paul Thomas, Harbour Master at the Port said, “We are thrilled to have Kate join our team, her reputation within the cruise sector is exceptional and she will make a first-class ambassador for the harbour”.

Kate said, “I am delighted to assist the team in Fowey in reaching new customers and growing the business, enabling more passengers to enjoy the amazing experiences this area of Cornwall has to offer”.

Kate will be splitting her time between Fowey and the Chamber of Shipping where she will be taking on the role of Policy Manager for Ferry and Cruise.
