Enjoying the view... send us your photos and WIN a short break in Fowey
The Fowey Harbour Commissioners have teamed up with the Old Quay House Hotel to run this photography competition for the summer of 2018. The winner will enjoy a 2 night stay including a dinner at the Old Quay House Hotel, Fowey*
The competition is open to anyone keen to capture the essence of Fowey Harbour and the Fowey Estuary on camera. Entrants must be happy to have their talent showcased in our marketing materials.
The competition runs until 31st October, so if you’re a keen photographer and want to see your photo used to promote Fowey and the surrounding area, then this competition is for you!

There are 7 categories in which you can enter a maximum of two images per category:
Our people, livelihoods and living in a coastal community. This category can include people, places, wildlife, pastimes, and working lives – but needs to tell a story about coastal life.
Capture the essence of Fowey’s maritime history. This can include old photos of life in Fowey Harbour and memories of yesteryear.
Taste of Fowey
Your favourite plates of food, local produce and great places to eat. Tell us through your photos what you love about Fowey’s food and drink.
Your photos of the wildlife and landscapes of the Fowey Estuary

On The Water
Whether it’s the view of a cruise ship in Fowey, sailing racing, a river trip or just having fun in boats. We want you to capture what a great place Fowey Harbour is!
Fowey Regatta Week is the arguably the highlight of Fowey’s year both on and off the water. With sailing racing, carnival, fireworks and of course the Red Arrows, there’s plenty of action to capture in your photos.
The Technical Bit
Before you enter our competition we recommend that
you read through the Entry Rules
Entries must be submitted in a digital format with a minimum resolution of 300dpi and a minimum file size of 3MB. Entries must be submitted by email to email@example.com
The exception to this is for the Historic Fowey category where images may be of a lower resolution and file size and can be submitted in hard copy to the Harbour Office.
Files must be labelled according to the following format:
Image Category, Image Title and Your Name - for example: OnTheWater_TroyRacing_JoeBloggs.jpeg
