Fowey Harbour Commissioners (FHC) are aware that many questions have been raised regarding the use of the Harbour and recreational boating following the recent announcement of the easing of some Covid restrictions.

Notwithstanding the statement made by the Royal Yachting Association on Sunday evening, there is still some confusion as to the Governments intent.  FHC have been in close discussions with industry bodies such as the British Ports Association and the UK Harbour Masters Association to obtain clear advice.

At present this has not arrived and therefore NO relaxation of the restrictions promulgated in LNTMs 2020/05 and 2020/06 is permitted.

We will continue to press for clarity, and in the meantime ask Harbour Users to respect the current restrictions and be patient to allow us to issue clear and unambiguous directions as to how an easing of restrictions on recreational boating can safely be applied in Fowey Harbour.
